Adam is a partner and head of the costs product with overall responsibility for delivery of the full range of costs services, overseeing 38 costs specialists. He has extensive experience representing various customers’ interests, challenging and recovering costs claims at hearings throughout the country arising from a variety of different types of litigation including personal injury, clinical negligence, disease claims, commercial disputes, judicial review, housing matters and data privacy claims.

Adam has a particular interest in dealing with costs claims arising from criminal prosecutions and originating from employment tribunal proceedings, including appeals from decisions arising out of orders from Central Funds. He has worked on a number of cases that have proceeded to the Court of Appeal and provides advice to customers on strategic issues and test litigation, always focusing on the wider policy agenda.

Adam is regularly asked to deliver training on all matters that relate to costs, is an experienced public speaker and often comments on costs developments in a variety of media formats. Adam attained qualification as a Solicitor-Advocate in 2011 having gained Higher Rights of Audience and was appointed onto the ‘Costs Alternative Dispute Resolution’ panel of mediators in 2016. He is also a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyer’s costs sector focus team.
