‘AI in healthcare – transforming the UK’s health system’ brings together leading clinicians, regulators, developers, investors and lawyers to discuss the potential that AI technology offers through the key themes of innovation, investment, data handling, regulation and liability.
AI-assisted healthcare is a rapidly developing and fast changing area – the NHS alone already uses more than 130 AI-based products to diagnose or treat 70 conditions – as well as being a significant growth area for investment and innovation.
But key to its success is patient buy-in, with many people seeking reassurance about AI-based technology’s ability to protects their rights and manage their confidential data, and ensure compassion and humanity are not driven out of their medical care.

‘AI in healthcare’ was unveiled in Soho, London this week at a launch event attended by contributors to the report and selected senior healthcare industry stakeholders.
Guests also heard from keynote speaker Dr Kira Radinsky, a specialist in the field of AI, who co-founded Diagnostic Robotics to build an AI-powered diagnostic and prediction system designed for healthcare, based on billions of medical records and historical patient visits.
