Biography
The issues on which clients seek Aaron’s guidance include coverage for nuclear verdicts, high-profile latent injury risks (such as alleged construction defects at some of the country’s most expensive construction projects and child sexual abuse matters), and claims involving exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Aaron also has experience addressing coverage for alleged violations of privacy statutes, including Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and similar statutes in other jurisdictions, and routinely advises clients on financial lines claims, including public and private D&O matters.
Before rejoining private practice in August 2023, Aaron worked in-house at a global insurance company. There, Aaron managed outside coverage counsel and oversaw the prosecution and defense of insurance coverage litigation. He also advised C-suite executives, senior management, and internal claim professionals on diverse legal issues impacting multiple lines of business and assisted with drafting policy language, risk assessment, and the development of claim resolution strategies.
Before his time in-house, Aaron worked at an international law firm, where he provided pre-litigation counseling to insurers and represented their interests in coverage litigation. Aaron often presents to insurers on issues at the intersection of insurance and emerging risks, including PFAS, climate change, and artificial intelligence.
