Alexis focuses on addressing coverage under program insurance, large losses, mass torts regarding pharmaceuticals and food products, sexual abuse, environmental claims, and construction defects.

Her experience includes litigating matters in both state and federal court, as well as through traditional and Bermuda Form London arbitrations. Alexis also has substantial experience representing reinsureds and reinsurers in complex reinsurance disputes, and in counselling clients concerning coverage for reinsurance claims. Alexis’ representative work includes analysing insurance programs for applicability of coverage to multi-million dollar losses; drafting coverage position letters; researching and writing coverage opinions on complex coverage issues; performing coverage investigations; managing substantial document collection and production on a truncated timeline; successfully avoiding sanctions; prevailing in arguing for and defending against numerous motions to compel; obtaining a critical summary judgment ruling in complex arbitration—effectively halving issues to be finally litigated; securing favourable settlements and final awards for clients in multiple confidential arbitrations; and subsequently confirming final awards while successfully maintaining confidentiality.
