Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has expanded its Commercial Dispute Resolution practice in Bristol with the appointment of Wesley O'Brien as a partner.

A specialist with over 12 years' experience in technology disputes, Wesley joins from Bevan Brittan where he led its technology disputes team.

Acting for clients in a range of markets including health and social care (both public and private), financial services and the tech sector, his particular area of expertise is managing and resolving complex, multi-party technology/ICT contract disputes, especially those involving delays to transition or implementation, and failed or partial service delivery.  Wesley also advises on intellectual property disputes and reputation management claims, covering defamation, harassment, and privacy.

Wesley will be joined by Hannah Roberts and Alexandra Philips (both solicitors) in March.

Dan Preddy, partner and Head of DACB's Commercial Dispute Resolution practice in Bristol, commented, "This is a strategic appointment for us, as we look to broaden our commercial dispute resolution offering. Wesley has a growing reputation for managing and resolving these complex and challenging types of contractual and technology disputes, as well as many years' experience of advising clients in the health and social care sector. His skill set and existing client relationships are a great fit for the business and we are delighted to welcome him to DACB."

Wesley added, "DACB has a market-leading reputation in the health and social care market as well as a highly-regarded commercial dispute resolution team.  I'm looking forward to supporting the firm's health and social care clients and its wider client base, as well as collaborating with colleagues in its dispute resolution, IP and reputation management practices."
