The awards judges praised DACB for its diverse client initiatives, industry recognition and commitment of innovative client service. On presenting the award, the judges commented: "DAC Beachcroft impresses for delivering a range of initiatives to serve different groups, most notably one that supports the return of legal professionals to the profession. The firm is also highly committed to the region with a large presence in Leeds and a growing set of local and national clients."
The various initiatives recognised by the judges include DACB CO/LAB, a web-based crowdsourcing platform where clients and internal DACB teams share ideas and collaborate to develop innovative, mutually beneficial solutions. The firm also runs a unique career returners programme - ‘Reconnect’, which supports legal professionals returning to the profession after a period of time away, for instance to have a family or to provide care, enabling DACB to engage with a largely untapped talent pool of people.
Paul Taylor, partner and Head of DACB’s Leeds office, said, ‘‘This accolade is testament to our talented people, our excellent roster of clients, and the work we do to support our communities.’’
The Yorkshire Legal Awards brings together the region’s legal community to recognise and celebrate its many achievements. The awards ceremony took place at New Dock Hall in Leeds on 6 October 2022.
