Charities and Not for Profit Providers
We are able to combine a deep understanding of the charity and not for profit sector with a wider knowledge of the health and social care regulatory landscape. We are uniquely placed to help our clients achieve their strategic objectives, regulatory compliance and sustainable success for their beneficiaries. This is bolstered by the fact that many of our lawyers are charity trustees themselves.
Overview
We offer advice on all legal, regulatory and governance matters impacting on charities and other not for profit providers in the health and social care sector, including advising on trustee duties, constitutional structures and change, all aspects of regulation by the Charity Commission, grant arrangements, fundraising, safeguarding, employment, data and cyber security, tax and charity property.
Combining a genuine specialism in health with expertise in charity law and regulation, we know the regulatory environment in which charities operate inside out (including the approach of the Charity Commission and other regulators, like the Care Quality Commission and Information Commissioner's Office). We give pragmatic, commercially focused advice to help clients get to grips with their sector’s regulatory environment.
We are adept at managing both day-to-day and critical incidents, and are focused on understanding our charity and not for profit provider clients, in order to provide bespoke, client centred advice and solutions.
Our clients include NHS charities, all types of health and social care providers as well as professional bodies and research organisations.
