Poppy has extensive experience advising insurers and reinsurers on complex cross border (re)insurance matters. She specialises in policy coverage disputes, policy drafting, defence work and regulatory compliance across a number of lines of insurance business.

She has represented insurers in multi-party dispute resolution, including disputes involving fraudulent claims related to property and financial advice. Poppy is recognised for her practical approach to resolving complex claims and has shared her expertise on key insurance issues at international conferences.

Poppy has also led the acquisition and integration of a regional corporation by a UK PLC. Her work has included managing financial reporting, budgets, compliance, and developing strategies for business growth across Asia.

Recent experience includes:

• Acting on behalf of Insurers, including giving coverage advice, in relation to the recall of e-bike parts manufactured in China and sold to the European market following complaints due a latent defect in the product.
• Providing coverage advice to Insurers and advising on the recall of EV charging parts produced in Taiwan for the US market following complaints relating to the overheating/ burning of the products.
