Andrew specialises in defending fraudulent motor claims in the insurance sector where fraud and/or dishonesty is alleged. He has a particular expertise in the Gibraltar market, where he advises clients on all aspects of their claims function and the wider motor market in Gibraltar.

Andrew has over 14 years’ experience advising clients on strategic and emerging fraud issues and the defence of fraudulent claims. His key clients include Allianz Insurance Plc, Collingwood Insurance Company Limited, MCE, Zego and Marshmallow.

Andrew has interest and experience on advising clients in the emerging InsurTech market in both Gibraltar and the UK.

Relevant experience includes advising:

• Allianz Insurance Plc on an application for the committal of four failed claimants arising from a fraudulent motor claim. Each Claimant was found in contempt and each sentenced to six months imprisonment.
• Allianz Insurance Plc on an application for the committal of an individual who alleged to have bene injured in an RTA. He was featured in a boxing match on You Tube when he alleged he was injured. He was found in contempt on two grounds and fined for each proven ground of contempt
• Allianz Insurance Plc on all aspects of their fraud strategy through the use of data and analysis of fraud trends.
• Gibraltar registered insurers on all aspects of their UK claims function in particular their fraud strategy.
