María José is a partner in our Argentina office and has over 10 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance sectors. She specialises in advising the local and foreign (re)insurance market on claims, regulatory and corporate matters. She has worked in insurance companies as well as renowned local law firms. She also trained in major law firms in the city of London.

Between 2018 and 2020 she served as the Deputy Manager of Records at the “Superintendencia de Seguros de la Nación” (Argentine Insurance Regulator).

María José is also a professor in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at renowned institutions such as the Universidad de Buenos Aires ("UBA"), Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, Universidad del Salvador y Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales. Currently, she is in charge of coordinating the Insurance Law Theory and Practice Program as part of the postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Law of UBA.

She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Insurance Law (A.I.D.A.) (Argentine branch) and author of various articles, as well as editor of the insurance and reinsurance feature at ElDial.com.

María José graduated as a lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina with honors.
