Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has announced the appointment of partner Joanna Hunt to lead the firm's immigration practice within its Employment, Pensions and Immigration (EPI) group.

Joanna joins DACB from Fieldfisher, where she acted as Head of Immigration. Her experience within immigration law includes key areas of sponsorship, compliance and corporate support, with specific specialism in the professional services, tech and property sectors. Joanna also supports individuals with work-based visas, family-based applications and citizenship.

Head of DACB's Employment, Pensions & Immigration group, Alex Lock, said, "Joanna is a standout immigration practitioner with a formidable reputation as an expert in her field, and we are delighted to welcome her to DACB. The strengthening of our team through this important appointment is one of the ways that we are continuing to provide a wide and joined-up range of services to support the ever-changing needs of our clients."

Joanna added, ''I am looking forward to working with the team at DACB and contributing to their already outstanding reputation. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the firm's plans to grow its specialist capabilities for the benefit of both new and existing clients."

Joanna is the latest partner hire to strengthen DACB's EPI group, with her appointment closely following that of employment specialist Jeff Middleton. Jeff joined DACB's Manchester office in December 2023, having previously acted as National Head of Hill Dickinson's Employment, Education & Pensions team.

DACB’s EPI group is recognised as one of the top five employment practices in the UK. It combines the highest quality of technical advice, a deep commitment to personal relationships and an effective use of technology to give clients solutions that balance their legal and commercial needs, offering real value.
