Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce it is strengthening its litigation offering in Mexico by welcoming a highly-regarded litigation team.

Elisa Márquez, Beatriz Castelazo and Alberto García Cárdenas, partners at Márquez & Castelazo (MCGC) who are known for their exceptional expertise in Mexican litigation, will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to DACB. They are highly skilled in civil, commercial, and international arbitration, including complex litigation and bankruptcy matters. All three have previously worked together at other top-tier global law firms and companies, further enhancing the depth and breadth of their combined skills, as well as their understanding of the challenges in providing services for international clients, such as financial institutions and insurance companies.

With the MCGC team on board, DACB will be even better placed to help its clients navigate the complexities of Mexican legal proceedings, ensuring they benefit from the firm's enhanced capabilities and knowledge of the Mexican market.

Andrés Amunátegui, partner and Head of Latin America at DACB, said, "We are excited to welcome Elisa, Beatriz, Alberto and their wider team to the firm. They are an ambitious team, very much at the top of their game, and with their experience and expertise, they are extremely well placed to help us take our litigation offering in Mexico – and across LatAm – to the next level."

Miguel Ángel De la Fuente, partner and head of DACB's Mexico office, said, "Elisa, Beatriz and Alberto bring considerable breadth and depth to our overall offering in Mexico. Their knowledge of the local litigation market and their recognition as superb litigators, will help us continue to build out our capabilities here in Mexico and position us to take advantage of untapped opportunities."

Elisa added, "We are all very pleased to be joining DACB. The firm is very well respected across Latin America, and we are looking forward to working with Miguel and the whole team in Mexico to provide our clients with the best possible service and advice."

DACB has continued to focus on international expansion in recent months. Last summer, the firm launched in Argentina and, in February 2023, it opened offices in Italy in both Milan and Rome. In addition to its eleven UK locations, DACB operates from offices in Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, the United States, Singapore, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina and, together with BLD, Germany.
