Alex specialises in defendant litigated casualty disease. He supervises a team of fee earners acting for a major Insurer Client.

He has over 7 years’ experience advising clients across a range of sectors including manufacturing, construction and insurance.

Using his IT Business and Management degree Alex provides specialised MI support to the Disease product and carries out in depth data analysis for clients.

Alex has been instrumental on a number of key innovations for the business producing products for Casualty Injury and Casualty Disease. A significant part of his role is refining processes within the team and developing tools to improve how cases are handled to reduce indemnity spend for clients.

He is a specialist in the creation, delivery and improvement of Management Information and data production for a number of major insurer clients. He has partnered with clients to reduce their legacy portfolio from 18,000 claims to 4,000 in and releasing significant reserves for them. This demonstrates his market leading expertise in managing and handling books of disease claims from different sectors.

Relevant experience includes:

• Supervising a litigated disease team to achieve over 400 discontinuances and a repudiation rate of 60% over a 5 year period.
• Advising a client to contest jurisdiction due to multiple faults with a Claimant’s application to extend time for service, eventually resulting in wasted costs being paid to the Defendant.
• Advising on causation strategies to an insurer client.
