Featured experience
- Advising NHS England in relation to the highly significant COVID-19 Inquiry, which is examining the UK’s response to the pandemic
- Advising NHS England on its defence of a high-profile judicial review (Gardner) challenging the NHS and the Government's response to the coronavirus pandemic and the impact it had on care home residents
- Advising England’s only NHS gender identity service for children and young people on its successful appeal regarding decisions about treating patients with puberty blockers, reaffirming the key principle that competence should be assessed individually by a patient’s clinician
- Advising on the successful establishment (and subsequent refresh) of the Increasing Capacity Framework, ensuring there was additional capacity available, including from independent sector providers for NHS patients in a period of elective backlog challenges
- Advising NHS providers on high-profile CQC prosecutions and investigations and supporting clients navigating CQC well-led assessments. We challenged CQC decision-making, including in contested proceedings and at the pre-prosecution stage.
