    Charlotte is a Partner sitting across DAC Beachcroft's Commercial (Financial Institutions) and Information Law teams.

    Charlotte has spent time on secondment with a variety of global insurers and has significant experience working closely with in house legal and compliance teams and has been praised for the seamless service she is able to provide.

    On the Commercial side, Charlotte specialises in advising financial services institutions on a full range of commercial matters.

    In particular she has significant experience advising on insurance distribution arrangements, including representing a global bank in one the UK's largest general insurance distribution deals ever as well as a number of subsequent large-scale distribution arrangements for the same client. She also regularly advises on broker agreements (having acted both for the broker and the organisation providing the service) and a wide range of other commercial agreements, ranging from non-disclosure agreements to vendor and supplier agreements, to SaaS agreements and IT maintenance and support agreements.

    She also has notable experience advising on customer facing documentation, amongst other things being responsible for legal
    sign off of customer terms and communications when on secondment at a leading global health insurer. She also has experience advising on the application of the Consumer Rights Act in respect of consumer facing contracts and communications.

    On the Information Law side, Charlotte has advised and assisted on a range of data protection matters, predominantly to organisations within the insurance sector, including providing strategic guidance on compliance with UK data protection law, drafting and advising on privacy and cookies policies, dealing with subject access requests, advising on the data protection elements of various commercial contracts and managing international data protection projects.

    She has advised many of our insurer clients on all aspects of their GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 compliance including undertaking GDPR readiness audits, drafting and implementation of GDPR compliant policies and updating contract terms in line with the requirements under the GDPR.

    She is also a specialist in advising on the rules around marketing under GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations.

    Charlotte holds the IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (European) (CIPP/E) qualification.
