Declan regularly acts in defence of claims against a broad range of professionals including accountants and insolvency practitioners, technology professionals and solicitors.  

Also, Declan regularly advises on policy coverage issues such as blanket notifications, year of attachment, and aggregation.

Declan has extensive experience of the London insurance market following a nine-month secondment to a leading London Market insurer. Declan also spent six months working in the firm's office in Singapore, where his experience included advising on reinsurance and property/business interruption claims.

Recent experience includes:

• D&O coverage advice in respect of claims of £150m against company directors in the Channel Islands;
• Coverage advice relating to claims of €90m against a wealth management company in Ireland;  
• Defence of negligence claims against insurance brokers arising from declined property claims.
