Biography
Edmundo specialises in insurance and reinsurance, litigation and arbitration and corporate law. He worked for MAPFRE Chile from 1994 to 2017, acting as Head of Legal for the last 17 years. He has been involved in a number of the most relevant losses in Chile regarding the mining sector, energy, aviation, general liability and financial institutions.
He teaches Insurance Law at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile and at Universidad de Los Andes and has written several insurance related articles as well as given many lectures on the matter. Edmundo is a co-author of the 2015 book “El contrato de Seguros”.
Edmundo qualified in 1993 and joined DACB Beachcroft in 2017 as a consultant.
