    Emma is head of market strategy for motor and casualty. She is responsible for identifying and driving campaigns and initiatives to help support her clients across all motor and casualty products.

    Emma has over 17 years’ experience advising clients across a range of sectors including credit hire, injury and fraud. Emma has a market leading reputation particularly in the defence of credit hire claims and has worked with the ABI on the GTA rate review and numerous market investigations into credit hire.

    As well as handling high value and complex claims herself, she works closely with her clients to ensure they are aware of and are adapting all the latest tactics to secure ultimate savings and reduce leakage on claims. Emma has been heavily involved in the whiplash reforms, and has been involved in numerous market events advising the industry on the impact of the reforms.

    Relevant experience includes:

    • Emma has been involved in numerous credit hire appeals which have helped shape the market including Umerji V Khan & Zurich, Stevens V Equity, Lawson v Mullen, Grice V Atos, Bunting V Zurich and Armstead V RSA,  
    • Emma is recognised by the Legal 500 as ”a Power Player in the area of credit hire”. Her team is also recognised, confirming that “the credit hire team has a truly in depth understanding of their area of law and a tremendous spirit de corps”.
    • Emma is regularly quoted in the insurance press and has presented at numerous market events such as the ABI whiplash conference.
    • Emma won Insurance Lawyer of the Year at the Women in Insurance Awards 2021.
