    Mark has considerable experience in advising on a wide range of commercial agreements within the insurance sector. 

    Examples of Mark's experience include:

    • Acting on the purchase by a leading UK insurer of the private health business of another UK insurer;
    • Advising on a large number of insurance distribution agreements (including corporate partnership and affinity agreements for major UK insurers with well-known banks, retailers, Car manufacturers and charities);
    • Acting for major insurers in relation to various outsourcing arrangements (including the offshoring to India of an insurer's back office functions, the outsourcing of a company car scheme and catering facilities);
    • Drafting and negotiating approximately 30 agreements for suppliers within the claims supply chain of a large UK insurer (including, for example, loss adjusters, solicitors, legal costs draftsmen and motor repairers);
    • Advising one of the leading UK underwriters of payment protection insurance on the regulatory and practical implications of premium refunds on early cancellation.

    Mark has been on several secondments to clients during his career including AXA Insurance, Argos Limited, RAC Motoring Services and CGU Insurance. In 2008, Mark spent six months as Acting Head of Legal Services at Allianz Insurance plc.
