Rebecca specialises in construction and engineering matters.
She has over 10 years’ experience in this sector. Her key clients include insurers, employers, developers, main contractors, specialist sub-contractors, architects, engineers, project managers and other members of the professional team.
Rebecca prides herself on helping clients to resolve contentious issues impacting their business and is often instructed to provide live project advice to key stakeholders to avoid matters escalating.
She has experience across a wide range of projects including retail, leisure, residential and commercial schemes, power and energy plants, remediation works, utilities, road and infrastructure.
Relevant recent experience includes advising:
- A leading global insurer on how to best protect reputational issues and mitigate loss arising out of a multi-million pound claim for a defective building which has attracted media attention nationwide.
- An international main contractor on a series of contractual issues and adjudications relating to a hotel, leisure and residential scheme which was nominated as one of Building Magazine’s “Projects of the Year” (2019).
- The market insurers of one of the major engineering design consultancies in relation to a £470 million office-led mixed scheme. Which interlinks with the Crossrail development, the issues on which have been widely reported due to their significance for the market and development in the area.
