Simon is the Sales Director for Corporate Insurance & Risk (CIR), a specialist division of DAC Beachcroft’s Claims Solutions Group providing an end to end single source solution for claims handling, litigation and risk management services.

He joined CIR in September 2022 from Gallagher Bassett where we was Head of Corporate & Risk Development for the UK and brings with him a wealth of experience having held operational as well as sales and marketing roles in claims and legal service providers for over thirty years.

Simon is responsible for implementing and driving growth within CIR and works closely with corporate heads of insurance and their brokers to develop bespoke solutions primarily for companies with a self-insured retention.

Simon started his career in insurance law with Langleys where he spent ten years handling claims on behalf of many of the UK leading insurance companies and their policyholders before then joining a regional law firm to set up their volume claims department. After a period of five years handling significant injury claims, Simon was invited to take up a management role becoming the firm’s first Business Development Manager whilst undertaking a law firm leadership development award accredited by the Institute of Leadership & Management and the University of Lincoln.

His initiatives raised the profile of the firm and resulted in the nomination for ‘most enterprising law firm of the year’ in 2007 at the national Legal Business Awards.

In 2010 Simon launched his own consultancy business representing the marketing interests of a number of law firm clients before joining one of his client firms in 2014 as their full time operations manager and to help the firm diversify into new legal services. The following year, the firm won the regional business of the year title.

In 2018, Simon joined Gallagher Bassett as a business development manager within their risk control department before being promoted to the position of Head of Corporate & Risk for the UK in 2019.

Simon’s ethos is to protect and enhance the reputation of corporate clients by helping people when they need it most. This is why he joined DACB’s Corporate Insurance & Risk solution as Sales Director in September 2022 as he recognised these values in the business through the quality of advice and service provided at all times.
