International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce it has joined forces with Chilean litigation law firm RRA (Ríos Abogados), bolstering its existing office in Chile.
As part of the integration of the two businesses, a seven-strong team has joined DACB, including Partner Roberto Ríos and Legal Directors Alonso García and José Luis Puerto. The highly skilled and top-ranked team brings extensive experience in supporting the Chilean insurance market on complex insurance claims, arbitration, as well as regulatory and corporate matters.
The move reinforces DACB's commitment to strategic growth in Latin America. In addition to its expansion in Chile, during the past 18 months the firm has launched offices in Peru and Argentina, and grown its presence in Mexico with a partner-led team hire. As a result, the firm continues to strengthen its existing services throughout the region, with a specific emphasis on corporate insurance and regulatory, and global marine and shipping work. Within Latin America DACB has a presence in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Peru. Additionally, it has a representative office in Miami and a broad network of affiliations in over twelve other countries across the region.
DACB's Head of International Business, Gustavo Blanco, commented, "We are driving forward our international expansion with a focus on growing our presence in key jurisdictions where our clients need us to be, and delivering on our firm's ambition of being the law firm of choice for global insurers."
Andrés Amunátegui, partner and Head of Latin America at DACB, said, "This expansion is a strategic move as we continue our strong momentum of growth across Latin America for the benefit of our clients. The evolving insurance market in Chile values comprehensive support, and so I am delighted to welcome our new colleagues as we continue to strengthen our capabilities and extend our multidisciplinary team."
Roberto Ríos added, "This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of DAC Beachcroft's ambitious plans for growth. As part of the team we are in an even stronger position to provide clients with the best possible support, both regionally and globally."
In addition to its growth in Latin America, DACB has also had significant recent expansion across Asia-Pacific and Europe. In September 2024 the firm launched in Hong Kong, and announced an association with Incisive Law in Singapore as well as new offices in Milan and Rome during 2023.
