Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has today launched the DACB Crisis Room app, part of a unique crisis management platform designed to help clients protect their businesses and reputations from the potential impact of a major incident or boardroom risk.

“Over the past five years the range, scale and source of risks has changed materially, impacting organisations regardless of their size, sector or location. Developing resilience to prepare for and respond to those risks has therefore become even more critical,” explains Hans Allnutt, partner and head of Cyber & Data Risk at DACB.

The DACB Crisis Room app provides organisations with a single location to swiftly respond to major incidents in order to mitigate and manage potential risks. The app, which will include Cyber Breach Response and Criminal Motor Defence functionality at the time of launch, with additional crisis management capabilities being added during 2022, is designed with four unique digital ‘rooms’ which can be deployed depending on which stage in the crisis lifecycle a business finds itself. The four rooms: Quick Assist; Prepare; Respond; and Review, provide a space for organisations to store key documents to plan for, respond to and recover from an incident.

Organisations can also scale to a 24/7 service, store and share critical information and documents, securely communicate with internal and external contacts, and review actions taken following a crisis to implement lessons learned.

Allnutt says, “In the field of cyber and data crises, we have been working with clients for over 10 years to identify, mitigate and manage incidents.  Through the DACB Crisis Room app we have drawn together our extensive knowledge of crisis management and our suite of services to provide even greater breadth and depth of crisis support for our clients, delivered in a consistent and scalable way through one single digital solution.”

Ash Sharma, partner and Criminal Motor Defence specialist, adds, “The importance of ensuring drivers can, and know how to, obtain immediate legal assistance in the event of a road traffic collision cannot be overstated.  The consequences that could follow a collision are significant for both the driver and the corporate fleet provider.  This app is designed to be quick, clear and easy to use to ensure drivers can access immediate legal support within minutes.”

Helen Faulkner, Head of Insurance at DACB comments, “Balancing risk and growth effectively is an ongoing dilemma for organisations today.  A crisis can disrupt even the soundest of business strategies if it isn’t properly managed.  Our app enables our clients to respond swiftly to a major incident at any time and from anywhere.”

“Safeguarding and protecting our clients is of paramount importance,” adds DACB’s managing partner, David Pollitt.  “In today’s world experiencing a major incident is a question of when – not if – for modern organisations.  We are therefore constantly looking for innovative ways to provide the support that our clients need to strengthen their business resilience in the most efficient and effective ways.”

The DACB Crisis Room app is downloadable from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
