Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to confirm that its Leeds partners have elected Louise Bloomfield as their new Location Head. Louise takes over Paul Taylor and will serve a three-year term.
Louise joined DAC Beachcroft in 2008 and became partner in 2014.  She specialises in employment law issues and leads a team which supports household name clients across the retail, hospitality, leisure, insurance, logistics and healthcare sectors.  Louise also leads DACB’s national employment practices liability (EPL) insurance practice, and she is known as a “leader in her field” for employment law (Legal 500 2023).

DACB’s Leeds office, in the iconic St Paul’s House on Park Square, is the home office for 290 colleagues and is the firm's third largest office location, after London and Bristol.  It is a full-service office supporting clients across the firm’s three focus sectors – Insurance, Health and Real Estate – and also through its Business Advisory practice which advises major corporates in the UK and globally.

Commenting on her new role, Louise said, “I am a passionate champion for DACB, our clients, our people – and for Leeds.  Under Paul’s leadership, we have made great strides in the last few years towards cementing our status as one of the top legal providers in Leeds and winning ‘Large Law Firm of the Year’ at the 2022 Yorkshire Legal Awards demonstrates that our efforts are paying off.  I’m delighted to be taking over leadership of the office and look forward to collaborating with our talented and hardworking teams, as well as our clients, to continue our growth as one of the major firms in Leeds.”

DACB’s Senior Partner Virginia Clegg added, “I want to congratulate Louise on her appointment as Location Head.  With her drive and enthusiasm, she is well placed to lead the teams in Leeds to further successes in the years ahead.

“I would also like to thank Paul for his leadership in Leeds over the past three years and, in particular, for his invaluable support during the pandemic.”
