Andrew specialises in commercial law. He has over 15 years’ experience advising clients in the health and social care sector. His key clients include medtech and digital health companies, NHS commissioners and providers, and independent operators of health and social care.

Andrew has advised on a broad range of commercial matters, including major strategic procurements, public / private sector collaborations and highly regulated commercial contracts in the health and social care sector.

Relevant experience includes advising:

• On a public / private multi-party collaboration to support improved planning and delivery of clinical trials in the UK.
• A medical devices manufacturer on amending its distribution agreements in order to address importer and distributor obligations under the EU Medical Devices Regulation.
• A Foundation Trust on the commercial arrangements relating to the establishment of radiotherapy facilities at the sites of other NHS providers.
• On the full range of clinical research contracts, including clinical trial and investigation agreements (both commercial and non-commercial) and third party funding/supply agreements.
• A medical devices manufacturer on the negotiation of contracts to supply its devices through UK framework agreements.
• The Health Research Authority and the National Institute for Health Research on a number of the UK’s model clinical research contracts.
