    Annabel specialises in advising aviation insurers and reinsurers, airlines, manufacturers and other key industry stakeholders specialising in high value cross jurisdictional claims.

    She has over 20 years’ experience representing clients across a wide range of commercial and technical disputes arising out of aircraft accidents, sale, manufacturing and leasing agreements.  Annabel has advised major airlines and travel companies on claims arising from major losses (both passenger and crew claims, fixed and rotor wing), the carriage of undeclared dangerous cargo and general aviation matters, including ground damage.  She has expertise in dispute resolution, most notably in commercial litigation in the English courts but also encompassing claims in Asia, the Caribbean and Europe.

    Annabel has particular expertise acting for lessors and lessees in redelivery disputes.  She has also advised airlines on a variety of regulatory and commercial matters including those involving national aviation authorities and regulators, Unaccompanied Minors and Passengers with Reduced Mobility. 

    Relevant experience includes:

    • Advising a helicopter manufacturer in relation to a high profile fatal accident case.
    • General aviation (fixed wing) claims resulting in personal injury and ground damage, most recently in India and Greece.
    • Successfully securing the largest civil award in China following a constructive total loss of an aircraft resulting from undeclared dangerous cargo.
    • Reviewing and redrafting Conditions of Carriage for a major trans-Atlantic carrier.
