  • Biography

Guy Knight is the Head of Property Litigation in London with over 20 years' experience of property litigation across most practice areas, with particular expertise in relation to disputes arising over all aspects of the residential development of land. He acts for most of the major house builders in this respect.

He has particular expertise in restrictive covenants, rights of light easements and other common fetters on development, as well as disputes concerning overage and all aspects of development contracts. He supplies day-to-day specialist advice and assistance to his colleagues engaged in the purchase of development land.

He acted for the successful residential developer in the most important case on restrictive covenants in recent years, Crest Nicholson v McAllister, and also in another related Court of Appeal case, Martin v David Wilson Homes, which together have helped define the meaning of 'a'.
