Biography
Tim specialises in employment law.
Tim has over 15 years’ experience advising clients across a range of sectors. He has a particular focus on the healthcare sector and acts for a wide variety of clients including NHS Trusts, national NHS organisations, healthcare charities and private sector health and social care companies.
Tim’s non-contentious work includes setting up joint working and shared services arrangements, managing MHPS processes and advising on day to day workforce queries.
He also has a considerable amount of tribunal litigation experience covering the full range of issues from holiday pay and Agenda for Change contractual claims to complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims.
Relevant experience includes:
- A 12 month secondment at a national NHS organisation during which time advice was provided on statutory transfers in of three other national NHS organisations, a related re-organisation and redundancy process, delegating functions to and the introduction of staffing models for partnership working with regional NHS organisations.
- Defending a complex disability discrimination, whistleblowing and victimisation claim on behalf of an NHS Trust, which the trainee GP Claimant also issued against a GP Practice and a public body.
- Advising a regulatory body on the removal of senior Directors and the conduct and capability consequences for wider team members following a politically sensitive independent enquiry.
- Supporting various NHS Trusts through a number of complex MHPS processes, including allegations of inappropriate behaviour against a psychiatrist and misconduct and capability issues raised in relation to a consultant cardiologist.
