AI in Healthcare – Episode 1

This is the first in a series of DACB Lawcast podcasts on the fast-changing area of artificial intelligence (AI) and technology in healthcare.

In this episode we look at AI and technology in the NHS with Tom Lawton (Head of Clinical Artificial Intelligence at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust).  We hear from Tom about the sorts of technology and AI currently being used at his Trust in particular, and more widely in the NHS; the advantages that these technologies bring, as well as the challenges posed. We also have Tom’s thoughts on the future and what there is to come, both in terms new AI and technology yet to be deployed, and where improvements can be made to existing AI and technology to improve patient safety and experience.
