Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce that partner Gemma Leonard has been appointed Head of Residential in the firm’s Real Estate practice.

A specialist in residential land acquisition and development, Gemma joined the firm in 2003 as a trainee, was welcomed into the partnership in 2015 and became a Member in 2017. Gemma will also continue to lead the Manchester Residential practice. Gemma’s clients include Crest Nicholson, Bellway, Vistry, Ilke and Barratt.

Gemma, commenting on her new role, said, “We are continuing to grow our Residential practice, increasing the number of lawyers and importantly also extending our geographical reach. I feel privileged to take on this role at such an exciting time both for our practice and the sector in general.

“Throughout my career I have benefitted from the advice of senior partners in the Residential team and I would like to thank them for their support and guidance.”

Gemma will lead a 40-strong Residential team across Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Newcastle. DACB’s practice provides a comprehensive range of legal advice across the residential development cycle, including strategic land acquisition and plot sales.

The Residential team is part of a wider 170-strong Real Estate practice at DACB, which is also active in Commercial Development, Construction, Planning and Litigation.
