Biography
Jo has represented Defendants and their Insurers since 2001, handling a wide range of complex personal injury claims and litigation.
Jo has a unique insight and understanding of the inner workings of local authorities following an in-house client-lawyer tenure at a London Local Authority, acting as their Interim Claims Manager for 3 ½ years. Whilst in this role, Jo worked with all Directorates and managed liability and casualty claims brought against the Council, including those involving issues of utmost sensitivity and complexity.
Since returning to practice, Jo has focused her career on building a specialist claims and litigation service for local authority clients, covering sensitive and niche claims arising from recent and non-recent abuse and neglect, breach of civil liberties, child sexual exploitation (CSE), mental health law, GDPR, children/adult social care and other novel points of law.
