David is a commercial litigator with particular expertise resolving disputes in the financial services sector. David directly advises numerous household name clients, particularly, in the financial services sector.

He is also instructed by insurers to advise on policy coverage and to defend insured professionals (including financial advisors, pension professionals and accountants) facing negligence claims.

During over a decade with DAC Beachcroft he has advised clients on how to resolve complex disputes through litigation, mediation and via ombudsman schemes. He also advises clients on regulatory investigations and enforcement action.

David also advises high net worth clients in the entertainment industry on resolving contractual disputes.

David's relevant experience includes:

• Defending a financial adviser against a claim by a former client in relation to an alleged failure in not transferring a defined benefit pension;
• Defending a leading wealth management firm against a breach of contract claim brought by a former appointed representative;
• Advising a financial advisory firm on their response to, and management of, a section 166 Skilled Person Review;
