Dan is a partner specialising in policy coverage in general insurance matters, and in all types of property damage and related claims.

He has over 20 years’ experience advising and acting for clients across a range of general insurance products and claims. His key clients include Aviva, AXA, and Allianz.

On policy indemnity matters he has particular expertise in fair presentation, policyholder fraud and Insurance Act/CIDRA issues.

On the claims side, he particularly enjoys the defence of products and fire claims, but he is experienced across a very wide range of industries including transport, retail, infrastructure and real estate.

Relevant experience includes advising on:

• Coverage and liability in relation to façade failures in a development valued at £4 million.
• A train derailment valued in the region of £2.5 million.
• A product contamination loss valued at approximately £3 million.

He has a number of reported decisions to his name including Bell & Anor v Northumbrian Water Ltd EWHC 133.
