Gwyneth specialises in property litigation and has over eighteen years of experience in this area.

Gwyneth deals with all areas of property litigation and has specialist knowledge of landlord and tenant disputes in the High Court, County Court and Tribunal.

Gwyneth provides strategic advice to commercial and residential landlords across the full range of contentious landlord and tenant issues including lease disputes, termination, dilapidations, renewal and service charge issues.

Additionally, Gwyneth provides support and assistance to the wider Real Estate team as well as advising on complex property management issues such as disputes arising from transactional documents, title disputes (such as right of way and boundary disputes), enfranchisement and restrictive covenant matters.

Relevant experience includes:

• Advising an investment pension fund on the landlord and tenant issues arising from the implementation of the Building Safety Act, cladding issues and consequential health and safety measures.
• Acting for the leaseholders in the Great Arthur House litigation in which the Court of Appeal considered the interpretation of structural defects in right to buy leases ([2021] ECA Civ 431).
• Advising a local authority on a contested Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 matter
• Dealing with all landlord and tenant and property litigation matters arising in relation to their portfolio of properties for two London NHS Trusts
• Acting for two large national housebuilders in relation to a dispute over the "lift and shift" provisions within a deed of easement.

Gwyneth is a member of the Property Litigation Association. In addition, Gwyneth regularly provides training and writes articles on contentious real estate issues.
