Joanna specialises in strategic litigation and advises insurers on a range of emerging issues affecting injury claims.

She focuses on the civil litigation reform agenda and handles commercial work from a claims perspective.

Joanna advises on regulatory issues which impact on claims and policy reform in the claims sector. She drafts contracts and other commercial documents for clients in the insurance sector.

Relevant experience includes:

• Acting for the ABI on behalf of the insurance industry in Simmons v Castle.
• Providing advice to the insurance industry on the Civil Liability Bill 2018
• Being heavily involved in the work on the Whiplash Reform Programme.
• Instructed by MedCo to defend it in On Medical Ltd v MedCo Registration Solutions [2017] EWHC 3111(Ch) and R (on the application of Med Chambers and Prime Medicals) v MedCo Registration Solutions [2017] EWHC 3258 (Admin).
• Representing an insurer in successful mediation of protocol dispute with credit hire company.
• Advising insurers on compliant structures under the LASPO ban on referral fees.
• Acting for MedCo on a range of corporate, commercial and regulatory issues.
• Advising on credit hire protocols and is a regular panellist at our annual credit hire conference.
