DACB's expansive national team comprises over 25 specialist lawyers dedicated to advising clients on Safety, Health and Environment matters. The team advises on a wide range of investigations by regulators such as the Police, Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, CQC and Local Authorities, as well as on high profile investigations and cases involving a range of health and safety, fire and other regulatory breaches.
Under the leadership of partner Emma Bowens, a team of two SHE lawyers serve clients across the North East, along with more than 90 multi-disciplinary lawyers in DACB’s Bank House offices at Pilgrim Place.
Emma Bowens said, "It's such an honour to be recognised for the second year in a row for our work. Our clients come to us for support during the most challenging times in their professional lives, often experiencing the risk of financial loss or ruin, emotional trauma following the death of an employee or member of the public, or the potential destruction of their reputation. We pride ourselves on being able to give them prompt and clear advice – always with sensitive and compassionate support. To have our efforts acknowledged again this year is fantastic."
Newcastle Location Head, Nicola Fairbairn, added, "Emma and her team are well deserving of this award. The outstanding service they provide for our clients during what can be one of the most stressful periods for their business is second to none in the North East and beyond."
The Northern Law Awards recognise the extraordinary achievements of those working in the legal industry. The awards ceremony took place on 22 June 2023 in Newcastle.
