Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce that Paul Cox has been elected unopposed as Location Head of the firm’s Birmingham office. Paul will take over from Liz Jones and serve a three-year term effective from 1 May 2023.

Paul is a partner who specialises in high value catastrophic injury claims.  He joined DACB in 2018 and has over 21 years’ experience.

DACB’s office at Tricorn House is the home office for 400 colleagues and one of the firm's larger office locations.  The Birmingham team comprises colleagues from DACB’s Claims Solutions Group, the firm’s full-service claims solutions provider, which acts for the majority of the UK’s top-20 insurers.

Commenting on his new role, Paul said, “I am honoured to be taking on the role of leading our Birmingham office.  One of my key objectives as Location Head is to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected and heard.  Having chaired Spectrum, DACB’s LGBTQ+ network group, and sat on the firm’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Steering Group for the last few years, I consider that I am uniquely placed to celebrate the diversity of our Birmingham office.

“I also look forward to working closely with my colleagues to continue to provide excellent service to our clients and further strengthen our position as a leading claims solutions provider.”

DACB’s Senior Partner, Virginia Clegg, added, “I want to thank Liz for her leadership over the last three years, and offer my congratulations to Paul as he becomes our new Birmingham Location Head.  Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position, and we are confident that under his leadership, the Birmingham office will continue to thrive and grow.”
