Data, Privacy and Cyber in Insurance

We have a specialist group dedicated to advising clients in the insurance sector on data, privacy and cyber issues. Many of the lawyers in our team have spent time on secondment with our insurance sector clients and therefore have a deep understanding of the complexities of data flows and risks within the sector. We are part of a number of insurance market data and privacy committees and often at the forefront of market issues.

Overview

Our clients instruct us, knowing that our vast industry knowledge and awareness of market practice means we will provide a pragmatic solution in line with legal and regulatory requirements. We support a wide range of insurance sector clients including (re)insurers, brokers, MGAs and industry bodies including the Association of British Insurers.

We provide a comprehensive range of services from strategic advice to privacy impact assessments and audits, and from contractual issues to new initiatives such as underwriting powered by artificial intelligence, automated claims settlements and partnerships with InsurTechs.

We offer an end-to-end solution for our clients' needs, drawing on the experience and expertise of our regulatory, IT and insurance distribution colleagues where required.
