Lawyers from international law firm DAC Beachcroft have advised Ipsen on its move to striking new UK headquarters at The Point in Paddington, London.
Ipsen, a global pharmaceutical company working to improve patients' lives through research, innovation and the development of transformative medicines, was supported on the transaction by commercial and construction specialists in DACB's Real Estate team.
The DACB team advised on the transactional documents, including the terms of the agreement for lease, lease and the fit-out contract for the works to adapt the premises to meet Ipsen's requirements.
Ipsen's new 23,000 sq ft UK headquarters is EPC B rated, with all electricity derived from renewable sources and powered by electric heat pumps, with a roof terrace that hosts a colony of honeybees which will produce an estimated 300 jars of The Point honey annually.
Real Estate partner, Maddie Ball, who led the DACB team, commented, "We worked closely with Ipsen's in-house legal team to ensure significant time constraints were met, with the integrated nature of our Real Estate team ensuring that we were able to provide a seamless and efficient service.
"It was a pleasure to work with this global pharmaceutical company on a project that is another example of a leading international businesses investing in quality, net zero compliant accommodation in central London."
Ioana Parsons, General Manager of Ipsen UK and Ireland, commented, "The DAC Beachcroft team was proactive, responsive and pragmatic in its approach and we are grateful for the expertise and practical knowledge they brought to the project."
DACB has one of the largest Real Estate practices in the UK, with a multi-disciplinary national team spread across six offices advising at every point of the development cycle, from conception to sale.
