International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce the appointment of Marie Armstrong as Chief Operating Officer (COO).  Marie will join DACB on 3 March 2025.

Marie joins DACB from Dentons, where she was Global Projects Director, supporting Dentons' Global Management Committee and Global Board with the implementation of strategic projects and growth initiatives.  Prior to this, she was Director of Operations and Business Development for Dentons in Asia-Pacific and COO for Reed Smith in Paris.

In her role as COO at DACB, Marie will be responsible for all the Group's business services departments, including IT, HR, Clients & Markets, Finance, the Office of the General Counsel, and Business Transformation.  She will sit on the firm's Executive Board and report to the Managing Partner, David Pollitt.

Commenting on Marie's appointment, David said, "As we have grown and our international expansion has picked up pace, our business has become more complex.  To continue meeting the ever-evolving needs of our clients and colleagues in a sustainable way, we are focused on modernising our firm to deliver operational excellence and further agility.

"To support these efforts, Marie will bring significant international experience, including expertise in operational transformation and nurturing talent to develop a high-performance culture.  I'm confident she will help us identify opportunities to carry on investing in the success of our clients and colleagues and the future of our business."

Marie added, "I have been impressed with DACB's meteoric growth in recent years.  Its strategy has seen it surpass its competitors on a number of fronts, and with more ambitious plans in the pipeline, this is a very exciting time to be joining the firm.  I am looking forward to working with David and the Executive team to continue building on these successes."

Following strong performances from its core sectors of insurance, health, real estate, technology and financial services, DACB recorded its tenth year of consecutive growth to the year ended 30 April 2024, reaching a turnover £326.5 million and boosting profit by a record 15%.

Over the last two years, the firm has expanded its international footprint considerably.  In 2023, it launched offices in Milan, Rome and Buenos Aires and during 2024 it opened in Peru and Hong Kong.  Most recently, in January 2025, DACB opened for business in the USA with a team of over 20, including four partners, based across offices in New York City and Los Angeles.
