Vanessa joined DAC Beachcroft in May 2022 with extensive experience in litigation, pursuing and defending subrogated recovery claims for insurer clients.

As a member of our Professional and Commercial Risks Team, Vanessa currently specialises in construction and engineering insurance. Vanessa's practice is primarily in dispute resolution, advising major insurer clients and facilitating the resolution of issues arising from construction and engineering projects. 

Vanessa's relevant experience includes advising on:

• A £1 million+ liability claim arising from the installation of a Combined Heat and Power Plant and Biomass Plant, concluding in settlement at mediation;
• Policy coverage for theft of plant, hired plant and suspected fraudulent claims;
• Subrogated recovery claims for damages and losses incurred arising from construction and engineering related incidents including: major escapes of water, fires and explosions and defects at commercial and domestic properties.
